Urge Congress to Pass a Long-Term Medicare Physician Reimbursement Solution
On March 1, 2012, Medicare providers face yet another 27.4% reimbursement cut as Congress continues to utilize short-term fixes to prevent cuts from taking effect. A long-term solution to the flawed sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula, which determines Medicare provider reimbursement rates, must be a top legislative health reform priority in 2012. Short- term fixes are not a viable option. Please take action by contacting your US Senators and Representative today to request they pass a long-term fix to prevent cuts to Medicare physician reimbursement....

On January 24, 2011, Congressman Phil Gingrey (R-GA) introduced the Help Efficient, Accessible, Low-cost, Timely Healthcare (HEALTH) Act of 2011 (H.R. 5), and on May 26, 2011, Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) introduced companion legislation (S. 1099) in the Senate. The HEALTH Act would set conditions for lawsuits arising from health care liability claims regarding health care goods or services or any medical product affecting interstate commerce.
