On March 1, 2012, Medicare providers face yet another 27.4% reimbursement cut as Congress continues to utilize short-term fixes to prevent cuts from taking effect. A long-term solution to the flawed sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula, which determines Medicare provider reimbursement rates, must be a top legislative health reform priority in 2012. Please take action by contacting your US Senators and asking them to introduce companion legislation to H.R. 1150 and ask your US Representative to cosponsor H.R. 1150.
